Saviranna ujumiskoht

Maudykla, Harjumaa

Saviranna's swimming spot lies below the Saviranna klint, a roughly 2 km limestone and sandstone sea cliff on the Gulf of Finland that rises up to 6 meters, reached by a steep staircase completed in 2021. The new metal stairs, designed by architect Raimo Sau on screw-pile foundations, replaced a 40-year-old structure built by summer home owners and drop about 16 meters at up to 45 degrees to reach the shore. Because the village has no public square of its own, the beach at the foot of the stairs doubles as its community gathering place, used for Jaanipäev (Midsummer) bonfires and seasonal events alongside ordinary swimming.
