This educational trail runs through the Arlaviškiai botanical reserve within Kaunas Marios (Kaunas Lagoon) Regional Park, following a juniper-filled valley about 1.3 km from Arlaviškės village. It shelters the 'hairy pink' (gauruotasis gvazdikas), a wildflower recently found almost nowhere else in Lithuania, in a meadow habitat that formed after the Nemunas River's water level rose and has since been maintained by grazing and haymaking; the area is also an important bird-protection zone for eagles, rails and plovers. A wheelchair-accessible wooden boardwalk lets visitors reach the valley without disturbing the plant community it protects.
