Paplūdimys, Klaipėdos apskritis
This beach lies on the bank of the Atmata, one of the Nemunas’s main distributary channels as the river splits apart around Rusnė island in the Nemuno Delta. Free and open to the public, it draws swimmers, sunbathers and beach volleyball players from the small island town just a short walk away. The setting places it inside one of Lithuania’s most important wetland and bird habitats, an area also known for its dramatic spring floods.
