Graži vieta, Põlvamaa
The Vooreküla-Puskaru stretch of Postitee, the historic Tartu-Võru post road, runs through Põlva County and is considered one of Estonia’s best-preserved and most scenic road sections, having avoided major modern reconstruction. Originally a trade and military route connecting Pskov, Vastseliina, Kirumpää and Tartu, it became a mail route from the mid-19th century, when a chain of post stations and inns sprang up along it. The nearby Puskaru inn, tied to the Vana-Piigandi (later Sõreste) manor, is documented as an operating inn as far back as 1695.
