Gārsenes dabas taka

Žygis, Zemgale

Several linked routes make up this trail network in the former manor park beside Gārsene Palace, together covering around 7 kilometers and passing more than 40 marked natural and historical features. Visitors can follow the Cultural-Historical Trail, the Green Trail, the Baron's Walking Trail, or the Staburags Trail, taking in river meanders of the Dienvidsusēja valley, an oak avenue planted for the baron, large boulders, and a carved stone seat known as the Baron's Chair. A children's route added in 2016, the Armchair Hours Trail, tells stories about forest gnomes, and the park also has picnic spots and fishing on the Gārsenes Dzirnavezers lake, with a small entry fee.
