Vyskupo Motiejaus Valanciaus gimtines muziejus

Graži vieta, Klaipėdos apskritis

Housed in the childhood home of Bishop Motiejus Valančius in Nasrėnai village, Kretinga district, this museum was established in 1969 and became a branch of the Kretinga Museum in 2025. Its exhibits trace the bishop's educational, literary, and temperance-movement legacy, alongside a five-chambered wooden barn displaying 19th-century Žemaitija peasant life. The grounds include an oak grove planted in 1995 for the bicentennial of his birth and a 2001 monument by sculptor Kęstutis Balčiūnas.
