Hidden in forest about 1.5 km from the coast near Kaltene village in Roja parish, Talsi municipality, these boulder ridges formed thousands of years ago along the retreating shoreline of the ancient Baltic Ice Lake. The moss-covered ridges and stone pavements run up to a kilometer long and 5-6 meters high, and the site contains the largest boulder in the reserve, a gneiss stone nicknamed 'Klaipakmens' measuring 4.3 by 3.3 meters. Protected as a geological nature monument of national importance, the area is crossed by a roughly 1.7 km looping nature trail.
