The first mound of Tauragnai (also known as Taurapilis) stands in the Utena district, on the southern shore of the deepest and highest lake in Lithuania - Tauragnos. The mound dates back to the 1st millennium. beginning - II thousand the beginning, its territory is fully organized, a comfortable wooden staircase leads to the top, and there is an observation deck with information stands at the top. The visit is completely free, and from the top of the mound there is an impressive view of the narrow and deep Lake Tauragno and the surrounding pine forests.
