The unique and strictly protected Kamanai bog in the Akmene district is the largest complex of bogs in Northern Lithuania. The reserve has an educational trail and a modern visitor center with an observation tower. Since it is a reserve, it is forbidden to walk on the trail on your own, and excursions are paid and take place only with a professional guide of the reserve, by appointment in advance.
