Subate Lakeside Park sits on the shore of Subate's Big Lake, right on the Latvia-Lithuania border. It's a popular local recreation spot with a swimming beach, picnic areas, beach volleyball and basketball courts, and a playground. A trail runs along the shore toward the town's Catholic church, with views across the lake to the hilly, forested Lithuanian side, and a small island lies within the lake itself.
