This granite monolith sculpture, "Pasiaukojimas" ("Sacrifice"), was created by sculptor Gintaras Mikolaitis during a September 2024 sculptors' plein-air event in Zauliškiai village, honoring Pranas Gudynas, an army adjutant captain born January 12, 1900 in Mauručiai, Prienai district, who died May 6, 1929 shielding Prime Minister Augustinas Voldemaras with his own body during an assassination attempt outside the State Theatre in Kaunas. Gudynas was posthumously awarded the Order of the Cross of Vytis, 3rd class, and streets in both Kaišiadorys and Kaunas were named after him.
