Užvenčio kraštotyros muziejus

Graži vieta, Šiaulių apskritis

Founded in 1965 and moved into a restored manor house in 1973, this museum in Užventis occupies the former home of writer Marija Pečkauskaitė, known by her pen name Šatrijos Ragana, who lived here from 1887 to 1898, and later the estate of Jonas Smilgevičius, a signatory of Lithuania's Act of Independence. Its exhibitions cover the town's history and notable residents, alongside interactive programs in soap-making, coin-striking and boat-themed activities.
