This nature trail follows the bank of the Mergupe River in Mālpils, winding through wooded riverside terrain with boardwalks and staircases in the steeper sections. Information boards along the route describe the fish species living in the Mergupe and the local trees and plants. The path ends at a small clearing with a playground and a fireplace, and benches are placed at intervals for resting. It is popular year-round for walking, trail running and snowshoeing, and dogs are welcome on a leash.
