Bridvaišio piliakalnis

Graži vieta, Šiaulių apskritis

This hillfort on a hill above the northern shore of Bridvaišio lake, in former Samogitian tribal lands, has slopes rising 5 to 6 meters to a summit plateau roughly 60 by 26 meters. Local legend places a 13th century knights' fortress here, though no archaeological evidence confirms it, and tradition also describes a submerged causeway once linking the mound to a nearby island.
