Graži vieta, Kauno apskritis
Since no other Jewish cemetery exists in the vicinity of Žasliai, this one is presumed to be very old, possibly contemporaneous with the massive oak tree standing in the cemetery. In 1997, Latvian researcher Dr. Aleksandrs Feigmanis visited and transcribed 102 surviving gravestone inscriptions and fragments; the earliest surviving inscription records a burial date of 1848, the latest 1940, though many more gravestones had already been destroyed by that time. Almost all inscriptions are in Hebrew, with a few in Latin script.
