Cirgaļu observation tower

Apžvalgos vieta, Vidzeme

The 27-meter Cirgaļu observation tower stands in the "Ziemeļgauja" protected landscape area in Zvārtava parish, Valka municipality, and opened on September 18, 2015. It was the first nature-tourism site completed under an EU Cohesion Fund project reducing visitor impact on Natura 2000 territories, and a parking area was built next to the tower as part of the same project. From the top, visitors look out over the Gauja River's curves and the surrounding meadow and forest landscape.
