In Joniškis district, in Jauniūnai, an impressive memorial complex has been set up to commemorate the historic 1236. For the Battle of the Sun, in which the Zemaites crushed the Order of Swordsmen. A tall sundial-obelisk was built here, paths, ponds and a parking lot were installed. The complex is open all year round and admission is free.
